Crown House Properties – Clarence Terrace London
VWG were appointed principal contractor to replace an oil fired boiler plant and domestic hot water storage cylinders with a new gas fired boiler plant, flue system & automatic controls. 3 No. Remeha 310 Eco Pro 10 high efficiency condensing boilers were installed along with new pressurisation unit and expansion vessel. The DHWS cylinders were replaced with 3 new 500 litre cylinders complete with integrated plate heat exchange and circulation pumps to provide high efficient hot water service generation to meet demand with sufficient resilience in the event of a failure.
The residences at Clarence House were occupied throughout the works. Therefore VWG utilised a temporary boiler plant to provide domestic hot and cold water throughout the project, minimising disruption to residents.
As principal contractor VWG co-ordinated all CDM requirements on the project, working closely with contract administrator, principal designer and external H&S co-ordinators, ensuring works were completed within a safe environment for all operatives, residents and visitors to the residences.
